FF#3: My One OK Rock Experience, (REALLY!) Live in Manila 2016

I always had a grudging respect for fans who take matters into their own hands and “stalk” the celebs they “fan”. My first thought was, “da*n, these people sure have a lot of time on their hands”, followed by “I can’t really picture myself doing the same”. Well… I guess there’s a first time for everything.

Big Bang MADE to Party in Manila!

We Like 2 Party. That’s the title of one of the most recent releases of Big Bang, and they proved the truth of that line. Granted, all VIPs (that’s what Big Bang fans are called) are already aware of what a powerhouse these five (or even separately as solo artists) are, but it feels soooo good to personally witness it unfold in front of our eyes. This whole 2+ hours’ concert was one epic party.

Taipei, Taiwan: Arashi Around Asia 2008

Gong Xi Fa Cai!!! So many reasons to be excited today. One, it’s a non-working holiday and, for that alone, YAAAAY! Two, I’m off on another adventure later this afternoon, so it’s bound to be another fun- and nature-filled weekend. And three, before I go on said adventure, I get to be nostalgic and take a walk down memory lane, almost 7 years ago!

CNBLUE 2014 Arena Tour: WAVE… in Nagoya

The first week of December 2014 is a wonderful, wonderful, time to be an Arashi & CNBLUE fangirl in Nagoya. When we were planning the trip, the concerts weren’t really the “main” event, since (a) the Nagoya leg of thw “CNBLUE 2014 Arena Tour: Wave” was originally scheduled sometime October or November. And the odds of us scoring Arashi tickets were, well, very low, indeed. And then, it happened. The CNBLUE cons were moved to December 3 and 4. Our flight home from Nagoya is on December 7. AND THEN Arashi’s Nagoya concert was set for the 5th. Right there and then, we just knew WE HAD TO GO TO ALL THREE. It’s a good thing Peach is a member of the Japan FC, so she was able to get tickets for two nights.

Arashi Live Tour 2014: THE DIGITALIAN… in Nagoya

I’m back home from a two-week trip to the Land of the Rising Sun. I’ve seen lots of things, had lots of experiences, met quite a number of people, and been to a considerable number of places, but the first post I am making is that of the concert to top all concerts that I’ve seen live: Arashi Live Tour 2014 – The Digitalian.

What I Loved About CNBLUE “Can’t Stop” Live Tour 2014 in Manila

I figured we all deserve a time to be spastic or “let loose the inner fangirl in us”, and that is exactly what this post is all about. Clearly, I am still on a high after catching Yonghwa, Jonghyun, Jungshin and Minhyuk in the Manila leg of their CAN’T STOP 2014 live tour at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, heavy rains and flooding and all. Before I completely close on that chapter (well, not completely, since I have a series of posts coming up that are indirectly related to them), let me just post a few more of the snaps I managed to take during the concert, and also share the things that I loved about it. (You can read my mini-con report right here.)

Typhoon Mario “Can’t Stop” CNBLUE Live In Manila

Outside, neighboring towns and cities are submerged in a flood. Typhoon Mario is making his presence felt in a not-at-all-subtle manner. All the way in Hawaii, Arashi Blast is happening (which is verrrry fitting). Inside the SMART Araneta Coliseum, the show went on. Which is a good thing, because I braved the foul weather to travel all the way from Baguio to catch this concert that I have been looking forward to in months. Thank you, CNBLUE and the organizers for not letting Typhoon Mario stop “CAN’T STOP” from happening!
